ADU Building Process

The ADU development process can be divided into 4 easy steps.

The process begins with a thurough ADU Feasibility Study that determines if an ADU can be built on your property, and what type of ADU is best.
Design & Budgeting
There are many types of ADU designs and budgets. Costs range from a simple garage conversion ADU (as low as $40k), to a custom "Bespoke ADU" of up to 1,200 square feet ($250K+).
The construction phase of the project will take rough 10-14+ weeks depending on the size and scope of the ADU project. You will be assigned a dedicated Project Manager that will keep you informed every step of the way.
Certificate of Occupancy (C of O)
Once construction is complete, Cali ADU will ensure the a valid Certificate of Occupancy is issued so that you can begin to enjoy your new ADU.
